Katrina Edwards

Katrina Edwards has spent her life moving, performing, and helping others do the same. From the stage to the studio, her journey as a classical dancer, Pilates studio owner, and teacher trainer has shaped her philosophy: Pilates is about more than movement—it’s a way of supporting people to live with greater awareness, confidence, and care.

Katrina was first introduced to the Pilates Method in 1988 while rehabilitating a knee injury, sparking a passion that has driven her 30-year professional career. Since then, she has dedicated herself to helping clients and athletes of all backgrounds understand and connect to their bodies with intelligence and compassion.

Her extensive experience includes over a decade with Dance Medicine Australia, consulting for multiple elite sporting organisations such as Essendon, the Western Bulldogs, North Melbourne, Western United, and Melbourne City Football Clubs, and serving as Head of Conditioning at The Australian Ballet School. Katrina is currently a consultant to The Australian Ballet Company and continues to lead Aligned for Life Pilates as Owner and Principal Practitioner. As Director of Training at National Pilates Training since 2001, she has played a pivotal role in shaping Pilates education in Australia.

Across every role, Katrina remains committed to elevating the profession of Pilates and empowering the next generation of teachers and practitioners.
