SAM DEVILLE PILATES
Sam Deville is the founder of Sam Deville Pilates (SDP) and a leader in strength-based, progressive Pilates. She refers to her approach as “Pilates 2.0” – not to redefine the discipline, but to reflect her belief that Pilates can evolve through intelligent challenge, heavier resistance and dynamic layering while staying rooted in classical principles.
Her classes are known for being creative, demanding and empowering. Whether on the mat, using weights or working through layered sequences, Sam’s aim is consistent: to build powerful movers who thrive on challenge and leave feeling stronger, taller and more connected to their bodies.
Her approach was forged through her own journey. After the birth of her three daughters – including twins – Sam was diagnosed with a five-finger-wide diastasis recti and advised by multiple physicians to have surgery. Instead, she rebuilt her strength through Pilates. That recovery sparked her mission: to show women what strength-based Pilates can do for both body and mind.
Alongside her thriving online membership platform, Sam runs a boutique studio in Wimbledon Village - named by Cosmopolitan as one of London’s best fitness spaces. Her work has been featured in Marie Claire, SheerLuxe and Country & Town House, and she is recognised for bringing a fresh, results-driven energy to the Pilates world.
SDP is built for movers who want to push the method further – with precision, power and purpose.
